Robotics Revolution: Empowering Teachers, Igniting Young Minds!
On March 20, 2024, a wave of innovation swept through Artesia Junior School and Kumakwane Junior School, as dedicated teachers embarked on an exhilarating journey to launch robotics clubs that will transform the future of STEM education in Botswana.
Thanks to the Grant for the Ambassadors Special Self Help Fund (ASSHF) from the U.S. Embassy to Botswana, this isn’t just another training it’s the start of a robotics revolution! The ASSHF program is all about empowering communities to make a difference, and what better way to do that than by equipping educators with the skills to inspire the next generation of tech-savvy innovators?
During this hands-on training, our enthusiastic teachers dove into the world of FIRST LEGO League, mastering everything from building and programming robots to fostering creativity and teamwork. With newfound confidence and passion, they’re ready to light up their classrooms with exciting robotics projects!
But the journey doesn’t stop there. With the FIRST LEGO League competition set for November 2024, these students are gearing up to showcase their skills, ingenuity, and team spirit on a national stage. The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to see these young innovators bring their brilliant ideas to life!
