Where curiosity takes flight
Every workshop, donation and aviation week moves a young person closer to a future in STEAME, aviation and aerospace. Here is what has happened lately, in the words and faces of the people involved.

Robotics kits donated to Mogoditshane Senior Secondary School
Dare To Dream delivered robotics kits to Mogoditshane Senior Secondary School, putting hands-on LEGO MINDSTORMS Education equipment into the hands of learners. Our team unloaded the kits, met the school's leadership and handed them over at the Administration Block.
The handover ended with a group photo, with learners and staff holding certificates. Robotics gives young people practical skills in coding, engineering and problem-solving, the same skills our programmes build.

Maun Aviation Week: aircraft, airlines and big dreams
10–14 August 2026
Learners, including pupils from Leapotswe Junior Secondary School, went inside the world of aviation in Maun. They explored the airport, stepped into a cockpit, met airline teams including Ethiopian Airlines and Wilderness Air Botswana, and took the stage to share what the experience meant to them.

Hello Tech Girls
Smart coders in action
Girls build, code and problem-solve side by side in our Hello Tech Girls programme, learning that technology is a future they can lead.
A school's story
Thank you Dare to Dream, we are what we are because of you.
Students from Mahupu Unified in Takatokwane, Kweneng West gained real exposure to technology. They won the Robotics competition we organised, then challenged other schools at the BIUST Hackathon. Now they are learning 3D modelling and want to design and program cartoons.

Chief Instructor, NGAP Academy
Obonolo Koomane
He met Captain Kgomotso Phatsima at 17, the first pilot he had ever met, and she inspired him to pursue aviation. He says he wouldn't be where he is without the mentorship he received from Dare to Dream.
Now he gives back, hoping the love of aviation is ignited in others by seeing an aeroplane up close.
Creative Director, visual communications designer

He joined as a member and mentee while still at university. With coaching and guidance he graduated top of his class, with academic awards and a scholarship.

"I met Kgomotso Phatsima four years ago. I admired her work and what she was doing for the community, so I reached out and joined her foundation as a member and mentee. Along those years I was thoroughly guided, coached and advised while I was still a university student. Through the work, experience and guidance from Kgomotso Phatsima and Dare to Dream, I did very well at school: I graduated top of my class and school, with a few academic awards and a scholarship.
Through her support and guidance I have grown personally and professionally, as she continues to inspire, motivate and push me to be better. It is through Kgomotso Phatsima and Dare to Dream that I also aspire to one day give back to my community in Kgalagadi and inspire the next generation of creatives like me."

How we measure impact
More than attendance
We track whether young people walk away changed: more curious, more confident, more aware of the paths open to them.
Awareness
Do students leave knowing more about STEAME and aviation career paths than when they arrived?
Curiosity
Are they asking more questions, exploring further and seeking out new challenges on their own?
Confidence
Can they present their ideas, speak up and back themselves in front of peers and mentors?
Skill growth
Are they building real, transferable skills in robotics, coding, aviation and problem-solving?
Help us write the next story
Your support puts a young person in front of a pilot, a robot, a classroom or a mentor who changes what they believe is possible.
