  • Dare To Dream hosted the Women in Tech Brunch with  the support from Make-IT in Africa as commissioned by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit(GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Make-IT Africa believes in the catalytic power of African Innovation and digital technologies for green and inclusive development. In close collaboration with digital visionaries like startups, innovation enablers and political partners, they empower African Innovation ecosystems. Together they aim to strengthen an environment in which the full potential of African development can unfold

Thirty women from a variety of industries, including information technology, mining, and banking to name a few, attended the Women In Tech Brunch at the Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub. They continued to have candid, private conversations about the difficulties they encounter as women in traditionally male-dominated fields and about how to create an inclusive culture that will encourage collaborations amongst them and within the startup ecosystem. The event concluded with a networking session when the women engaged in general conversation while admiring some of the magnificent stalls that were on exhibit.
