Dare To Dream and Swerve Robotics (USA) have launched a collaborative STEM initiative in Gaborone, Botswana, aiming to empower the youth through an intensive training program for teachers. The program focuses on establishing robotics and coding clubs, with a goal to mentor students for local and international FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competitions. The three-day training, started on July 10, 2023, aims to equip teachers with expertise in FLL regulations, robot design, programming, project management, and coaching techniques. The organizations envision the emergence of robotics clubs and increased participation in FLL competitions, fostering STEM education and developing teamwork and leadership skills among students in Gaborone and its surrounding areas. The collaboration reflects their commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators in Botswana.
