Mahupu Unified School
“Thank you Dare to Dream, We are what we are because of you. Our students from Mahupu Unified in Takatokwane, Kweneng West have gained so much exposure to technology advancements ever since we met.
They liked it more when they became victorious in the Robotics competition you organised. Thereafter they challenged other schools in the Hackathon competition organised by BIUST. They have just been exposed to 3D Modelling and they want to design and program cartoons.” Stated Tiroyaone Motsumi, Computer Studies teacher, Mahupu Unified School.

The program focuses on establishing robotics and coding clubs, with a goal to mentor students for local and international FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competitions. The three-day training, started on July 10, 2023, aims to equip teachers with expertise in FLL regulations, robot design, programming, project management, and coaching techniques. The organizations envision the emergence of robotics clubs and increased participation in FLL competitions, fostering STEM education and developing teamwork and leadership skills among students in Gaborone and its surrounding areas.
